Are you thinking about launching your own apparel brand? Or maybe you want to print some t-shirts for a promotional event. In any case, choosing a printing company that will produce your custom clothing is one of the most important decisions you’ll have to make. When it comes to the printing technique, types of ink, t-shirts brands, shipping cost or turnaround time, every company has their own advantages. What questions should you ask yourselves before deciding on a printer?
1.- What printing techniques do we use?
It’s the most popular method among all brands and designers. It became quite popular during the 60’s and the results are just great. For screen-printing we use different frames, one per colour and the printer technician pushes the ink onto the t-shirt. If the design has more than one colour, then each frame will be layered one at a time to create the final design. Screen-printing is quite an automated method, but it still has its’ authentic artisan aspects.
It’s the ideal technique if your design doesn’t have shading or a lot of details. Remember that the more colours your design has, the more expensive it will be to print via screen-printing.
If your artwork has a lot of shading, different tones and minute details, such as a photo, digital printing is the perfect technique for you. High resolution results and perfect quality. The main disadvantage of digital printing is that is a bit more expensive that screen-printing and it can only be used in apparel such as t-shirts, some bags and hoodies. We recommend digital printing for small orders and really detailed designs that would be impossible to print by any other method.
Besides screen-printing and digital printing, we also offer techniques to personalise such as CAD-cut vinyl, rhinestone, digital transfer, full print, embroidery or classic transfer. Don’t hesitate to ask us what method will work better according to your design and needs.
2.- What kind of ink do we use?
We only use 100% phthalate-free ink. Our commitment to the environment is very important for us. Phthalates inks are chemically harmful paints that have been used for many years to customise t-shirts and apparel. Unfortunately there are some companies that still use it.
We use the Pantone Uncoated range as a reference. Printing on cloth materials is quite different to printing on paper; however we always try to get as close as possible to the real thing!
3.- What t-shirt brand should I choose?
You always have to consider if your personalised t-shirts are for selling or if you’ll use it for friends, events or your business’ staff. Our catalogue is very complete, with a lot of different kinds of t-shirts with regards to textile, prices, colours and sizes. We’re sure to have one that fits your project!
Our best-sellers are the magnificent Sol’s, Fruit of the Loom, Roly and Gildan T-shirts. We also work with brands such as B&C, American Apparel, Anvil and JHK.
If you are an eco-warrior or concerned about the environment, Continental Organic range of T-shirts are manufactured through a process that minimizes negative environmental impacts.
The choice is yours!
4.- What is our turnaround time?
Our turnaround times always depend on the t-shirt and printing technique to personalise you choose and of course of the amount of t-shirts you order. We can process huge orders in record times if necessary – urgent fees apply.
5.- How much for shipping?
