Full Print Sublimation Printing: Urban T-shirt

We’ve decided to offer a new service for all those budding designers out there with all-over style imagination. This new technique is called Full Print Sublimation and consists of using textile sublimation to produce T-shirts with the design printed all over pre-made T-shirts.

That means that on tshirts-uk.com, from today you can print your photos, illustrations or designs with no colour limits all over the T-shirt, front and back!

Full print personalised t-shirt

This technique requires garments of 100% polyester such as the garment we introduce to you today: The Sol’s Sublima.
Sols sublima t-shirt
This 100% polyester T-shirt for all over printing has a real cotton feel and is super soft and comfortable.

Textile sublimation is indelible, meaning it’s impossible to remove the print because the method involves a heat process which changes the molecules of the actual T-shirt, which in turn means your design will remain forever!

Sublimation t-shirts

With this great new process, we’re able to offer all-over printed T-shirts with either one large design such as a photo or we can multiply the design to cover the whole t-shirt like a logo.
That’s why this technique is a great choice for designing T-shirts. Not to mention the great T-shirt model we have on offer for him and her, a classic short sleeve cut.

Your own personalised t-shirts

So, that’s how simple it is!

Warning! As these garments are printed pre-made, it is inevitable that the printing leaves some white marks in the spaces it cannot reach: the wrinkles and creases that are created in areas such as where the sleeve meets the body of the T-shirt etc. We do, however, try our very best to hide these marks and we’re happy to give advice on the best ways to avoid them.

If you’re curious to see more wonderful examples of all-over printed T-shirts, you can visit our website or you can download our price list here.

QR code T-shirts: Red Cross Spain

On 10th October, throughout more than 30 regions of Spain, people celebrated the famous ‘Día de la banderita’ (literally translated as Little Flag day – referring to the stickers given to those who donate). This event started over 100 years ago to fund-raise for the less fortunate.

We collaborated with the event organisers by producing 50 personalised T-shirts with the QR codes.

The T-shirts printed with the collector’s tin – the ‘día de la banderita’ icon – were a great success!

The T-shirt used was the Fruit of the Loom Original tee chosen in a vibrant red that matches the company.

Personalised tshirts QR codes

QR Codes are a great new way to advertise your products or services. You can generate your QR codes online, print them onto our T-shirts and hey presto, start promoting! The great thing about using a QR code is you can integrate it with another design relevant to your cause – just like the Red Cross Spain have done here.

Another year full of people going all out to raise funds. Many celebrities, presenters and actors took part in the event too.

We hope that next year is just as successful if not more so!

Screen Printing: Shading effect

Traditional screen printing is done using solid spot coloured inks. That means the colours are of one tone, without shading effects. But now, we reveal a little trick designed to deceive your eyes.
Personalised t-shirts

Today´s feature t-shirt is a clear example!

Custom your tshirt

With just 2 colours, these t-shirt designers have managed to get incredible results! From afar, this technique gives the effect of shading in the background as well as in the text.

It’s as simple as playing around with various sized dots. You CAN try this at home with the semitone pattern filter in Photoshop.

Cheap T-shirts

Cheap tshirts for printing

Today we bring you a review of our top three most affordable T-shirts.

The first of our cheap T-shirts is the MK Hecom 135gr:
Cheap tshirt for printing
This low-cost option is great for large orders of promotional T-shirts or for one-day events. It’s light-weight and 100% cotton, making it great for screen-printing with your business logo for advertising.

The next of our cheap T-shirts for customising is the Fruit of the Loom Original 135gr:
Fruit original tshirt
This is the bargain price T-shirt from the well-known brand Fruit of the Loom which is made of 100% cotton Belcoro yarn for a softer feel. Fantastic cheap T-shirts for events.

Finally, the next on our list is the Roly Atomic 150gr:
Roly Atomic t-shirt
Made with 100% Jersey cotton, this soft short sleeve T-shirt is often a favourite for different promotional events and as it’s a little thicker than the previous two, whilst remaining a cheap option you get better quality value for money.

Now, a few tricks of the trade to save money on your order:

  • Why not try choosing white T-shirts and print in colour instead of vice versa? This often gets great results and is the cheaper option!
  • Also choose amounts of 10, 25, 50, 100 etc which can take advantage of the next price range instead of 20 or 80 for example.
  • Another easy way to create great personalised T-shirts and keep the price down is to print in just 1-colour or on just 1 side of the T-shirt.

Digital T-Shirt Printing

Digital printed t-shirt

Forget about screens, films and spot colours! DTG – Direct to Garment digital printing is the best way to print T-shirts with complicated designs, just like today’s example:

DTG t-shirt

Although traditional screen-printing is still the best printing option for simple logos and few colour designs, DTG digital printing allows for the reproduction of shading and different tones like those you can see in these images:

DTG printing
Digital printing

We asked our graphic designer for a bit of advice on personalising T-shirts using DTG digital printing:

  • Size matters! It is essential that the image be at least 300dpi and in an appropriately sized document, with, if possible, a transparent background.
  • Choose a T-shirt of medium-high quality, with a weight of 165gr/m2 or more. We do not recommend very thin T-shirts.

Digital Printed t-shirts

When we follow this advice, the results speak for themselves! The chosen T-shirt for this design is a premium quality model by the Roly brand, with a weight of 180gr/m2.

This incredible design was created for the metal band Rise to Fall, currently on tour – don’t miss it!
